Fridge Freezer Model: RSG5UUMH1/XEU
When opening the freezer door, the flap on the ice dispenser starts to open and close constantly (making a clicking noise) and the LED door display turns off. Usually the issue is resolved by closing the door, however in recent days we have been having to open & close the door multiple times for the clicking to stop.
I've attached a short video which shows the issue.
I suspect that the issue is with the Ice Dispenser unit - which is probably needing to be replaced, but I'd like to see if anyone else has an idea as to what the fault might be.

Hi
in our example, we found the cause to be a broken wire somewhere along the wire harness within the door. We found that by giggling the wires where they went into the top of the door (after having removed the plastic covering) sometimes stopped it (until someone opens the freezer door). We asked the official U.K. Samsung repairer, who said that the wire harness in the door is not a serviceable part (as it is covered by the foam insulation. We ended up having to replace the entire fridge freezer unit. We looks at all possible solutions and didn’t find any repair options. We even considered replacing the entire door, but there weren’t any in stock and as the model has been discontinued, there wasn’t any more stock coming in.
Hopefully, you are able to find a cheaper solution…
