Another victim of the failed seal in the auto dose unit affecting the fabric softener dosing - mine is the WW10T684DLH.
Unable to buy a simple replacement seal (which would be less than £1) to repair the unit and looking at £100 plus for the replacement. I have seen recommendations to use a liquid gasket sealant / silicone however I think I might buy another unit and keep the good seal from this unit (detergent side) so I have a spare and can fix when it happens again. That might give me another year or two out of the machine.
Not getting very far with support so far as it is out of the 12 month warranty so have complained but not sure how far that will get me. I can see I will be a drawn out process to recoup the costs.
Poor design and I thought manufactures had a responsibility to ensure their products are serviceable from a sustainability perspective under the “right to repair”. Throwing out a £100 part for the sake of a simple seal doesn’t feel right.
Not great Samsung…

has anyone tried these detergents with built in softener thats out if their fabric conditioner autodose compartment has stopped working?
I have never tried it, nor those scent booster granules you add in the drum for a wash, but I often wondered how they would work and how effective they would be?

If these new fangled Detergents+Softener are in tablet or capsule form then that completely defeats the autodose concept. Why pay more for an autodose machine if you go back to old school?
Why doesn't Samsung offer a cheap DIY fix that involves just replacing the seal or the dispenser?
