Purchased an eco bubble series 5 on the 10th, was delivered on the 11th. Just loaded it up, started a cycle as normal and now no power. Absolutely nothing. I’ve checked the fuse, all is fine. Checked my circuit board. All okay. So I have a completely dead machine.

called Samsung and AO, refused an engineer as only want a replacement machine. That’s coming tomorrow, only issue is I cannot for the life of me get the door open. I have completely drained the drum, it has no power. The plug is out of the socket. So how do I open the door? 😭HELP

just in case it is a wall socket fault , try plugging the machine into another socket. if it will not reach to another socket then get an extension reel lead and do it that way, plug it into another socket you know definitely works

Definitely not the socket as the dishwasher is plugged into the same socket. And works. Very frustrating, after 2 hours the door has finally decided to release my clothes.

hopefully I get on better with the one that arrives tomorrow 🤞🏻

Only way to get the washing out. Such a shame how Samsung got rid of the emergency door release in 2020 with the introduction of these machines. 1705612197929_1705612197919_0.jpg

It is quite annoying. Hotpoint, Indesit, Bosch, Siemens, and Miele machines all have an emergency release tab situated next to the filter. Sorry to make you feel bad

have they , thats a shame. Yes my Hotpoint had one next to the filter, a green plastic one that you could pull downwards and release  the catch.

In that picture though, that looks like a series 5 2019 on washing machine and has a manual way (although you have to remove the lid of the washing machine)

The retailer I bought it from (AO) told me to look for an emergency release button by the filter, I thought I was going crazy when I couldn’t find it. But I guess the fact that it is no longer there explains it. I didn’t even know it was a thing as I’ve never had this issue before.

maybe they should bring it back, or they’re so sure of their products that they no longer feel they need them.

This is what AO must've thought.

I definitely think the emergency release tabs should still exist. I can't see why Samsung removed them in 2020. If the PCB fails, there's no way of opening the door easily. With a pull tab, it's simple and saves you from having to pull the machine out, unscrew the top cover, and push in a tab.
