Ecobubble keeps extending washing program time (e.g from 1:09 --> 2:45)

Our new 9 kg Ecobubble washing machine may start the washing program (40c, 3 rinses) showing the washing time to be 1:09.

After some fifiteen minutes of use, the remaining washing time jumps to three hours. 

The local service team has not been able to figure out why this happens. This time-tripling happens on about one out of three times. Any tips?

We suffered with the same problem of our eccobubble extending wash times

we complained to Samsung and they sent repair agents who said there was no fault -this was a design feature to avoid bearing wear and to extend the product life. However it also meant excessive water and electricity consumption, clothes suffering from over-washing, and our sanity and stress levels being pushed to the limit.

we persisted in complaining to Samsung, sending several videos of the machine repeatedly skipping back in the cycle (usually from around1:09) and taking up to 4 hours to complete a wash. We started having to wait by the machine for this to happen and then switching off at the mains but this was happening every wash, no matter what size or type of wash. Eventually Samsung agreed to refund us and took the machine away.

we then bought a Miele and have had no problems whatsoever.

EcoBubble washing machine randomly triples or quadruples washing times. Unacceptable from Samsung not to accept their faulty product(s) and apparently even not fixing this as there keeps coming new posts.

What the video shows is kind of expected, as the load sensor measure the load, which will then set an actual wash time. 
I think the issue highlighted is when the load sensor has measured the load and given a duration time, then half way in it suddenly increase dramatically.

My Eco bubble is taking too long to start and then halfway through stops with a 5E flashing sometimes

I came here to see if anyone had any idea why my EcoBubble WW5000 9kg jumps from 1h27 to 3+ hours randomly. So far I seem to have had it on cotton.

A bit of a con also, the machine says 9kg. So you have lots of laundry, you want a machine that can handle a heavier load. What is not clear, is that only ONE wash cycle can cope with the 9kg - that is the cotton setting, and that is the cycle that creates problems. The others that ca cope with a full load are 'spin' and 'rinse and spin' All others are 4 or 3 or 2 kg maximum load, which I find, quite honestly, very misleading.

All users who weigh their dry laundry before putting it in the machine, please raise your hand. That's just ridiculous.

It also has this wonderful feature that decides that a duvet set or a pillow is going to damage it, so it refuses to spin. I am not very happy with this new machine, I was expecting a good quality machine. How can it call itself 'eco' anything when it takes a lot more energy and water than it originally starts off to use. My old Bosch managed to wash whole duvets, pillows, small rugs, anything really for over 10 years before breaking. This new one has been nothing but a pain in the neck.

I've had it for 6+ months now so probably too late to send it back to Currys. I am not happy with this machine at all

I will echo the OP, don't buy these washing machines.

We have just brought a new Samsung machine from curry’s. 
I wish we had read all of the comments before buying it as we are a family of 4 with lots of washing and can’t seem to get any of it down with each load taking about 4 hours. 

I’m not sure where to start with getting it fixed do I call Samsung or go straight to curry’s? Not happy as it cost £500

Curry’s won’t be interested if you bought it more than 30 days ago.

it’s not something that can be “fixed” as it is a ***** design feature - not a fault that their servicing contractors can sort.

these machines are not fit for purpose and I can’t  understand why they are still being sold. 

Took me several months to get Samsung to take my machine back and give me a part refund.

It is really misleading too though, how it's sold as a 9kg capacity but that only applies to a couple of settings. You only find that out after you bought it, after you read the user manual. Who reads a user manual before buying something. I also don't understand why it gets such high ratings on Curry's website.

When I had trouble getting mine to spin dry a pillow (which my previous machine coped with fine), tech support at Samsung told me that it was because it was unbalanced, to add another pillow. Guess what. I ended up with two heavily drenched pillows that would not spin. Took me ages to get the machine to do its job the next day.

Regarding the point of capacity- that’s pretty standard for most machines. The full capacity is normally only available on normal cotton cycle. For all other programmes you should avoid overfilling as it could mean your clothes aren’t washed properly. Most often programmes like easy care, synthetic (etc) are half the load capacity. Pretty normal I would say. If you read the manual of your old appliance it would probably say the same.
