We have a Samsung qdrive ecobubble 9kg washing machine bought a few years ago that's really extending running time.
We normally run medium size loads for 53 min cotton cycles. This was approximately being completed in about that time, but as of recent it's running for over 3hrs on that same cycle!!!
We're not adding any heavier weighted loads, just the normal. Our water supply's the same and we're using regular laundry soap.
The clothes come out washed (not shredded or anything). What could be the problem? Electronics?
Has anyone else had a similar issue and how did they get it resolved?
Any help/advise would be appreciated.
Thanks
SK

I was going to say has the water pressure changed but you checked that. Is the washing machine going into spin OK or is it having trouble and deliberating and keeps trying to balance the load?
Has the water level in the drum changed? - have you seen through the glass door that the water is higher than it used to be when new (if so could need a new water level pressure switch) - Have you pulled out the drain pump filter and see if its nice and clean? - is the machine draining nice and fast as it used to? - could the drain pipe at the back of the machine be pinched?

Mine does the same. I'm at my wits end. Samsung support completely useless. I've found plenty of other people with the same issue and nobody go tit resolved. Just resigned to the fact Samsung washing machines are junk. Work white appliance purchase I ever made.

I have same problem. Developed about 2 years after purchase 😕
Just browsing the web for this problem.
andy_in_ireland has an interesting idea. Once I have some time Ill check that lead.
Next on my list would be confirming if weighting system is working properly.
As I understand machine checks weight twice on cotton setting. Without and then with water.

My advice to you is to do the same as everyone else and replace the machine with a better brand. I bought an AEG and haven't looked back. It's a better machine in every way. I've since met so many people who have problems with Samsung white goods, all software related. There is probably a simple trick to reset it or test you can do but Samsung customer service are so completely impenetrable you'll never get the support you need to do that.
Seriously, if you persevere you will end up regretting it.
