Have Samsung stopped taking the z fold 3 in trade in against the S23 ultra or am I just being blind as I can't find it on the trade in tool

Trade in devices change all the time.
Also with the Galaxy Unpacked Event happening, it's worth checking back after the event to see what's changed.
Maybe you could be tempted to get the Z Fold 5

If the trade in tool does not show your particular model as an eligible device then yes at present they are not accepting it I'm afraid at this time. 

It is always worth to keep checking.

They're not taking ANY Fold devices as trade-in against any new phone, unless you want to use the minimum value 'any other phone' option. Why are Samsung giving their previous top-tier handsets zero value? Do they lack confidence in them?
