Z Fold 7 Swipe actions OS issue

Hey surely somebody must be getting the same issue as me on the swipe gestures from home screen etc.

In display settings for navigation bar you can either have buttons or swipe gestures so that you can do a quick swipe up to close the current open app.

This frequently bugs out on me and doesn't work. The only fix I have found so far is to either leave it for a while or close the phone, use the front screen for swipe up and then fold open again and continues to work.

Have approached Samsung with this but never get to a dev who understands what a bug is. Had the same with Fold 5 and have continously updated OS version to latest and no fix. Now on a brand new Fold 7 so no I am not going to perform a reset and see if it fixes the issue as customer service wanted its a bug in the OS somewhere and needs fixing.

I feel like this may be a better way to resolve. Would do remote management when it happens to show but you have no way of getting out of the call screen back to home screen without swipe to show the bug and no clear way to replicate. 

Anybody having the same?

Hi and welcome i have owned ZFOLD since the 3 and now 7.

Was going to say is it Samsung Pay, Circle to search or UI7 gestures when i became weird side swipes ?

If its not that I'm not sure, do you have the bottom of the screen like this, if circled it yellow.

I only get one line across the bottom possibly due to different keyboard settings?

When this happens i can still swipe left though to go back so can exit an app that way by effectively going page back until exit. Will try see if I can turn off circle to search

Yep you have the post UI7, Circle search, Samsung wallet drama thingy.

Try this ...

Step 1, Download Goodlock and the NavStar and do this

Step2. Make sure you have these settings

Ah ok I see each swipe area does different things. Well I've got it set up thank you will just take some relearning but hopefully sorts it thanks for the help. Will report back if I get the same bug.

Great i just had the same issue occur with the Navstar swipe installed.

Samsung fix this bug. I just refuse to stay loyal to providers that don't fix annoying things like this.

I have this issue for months, about 3-5 times a day. I have to switch to "Navigation bar >  Buttons" mode, then switch back to "Swipe Gestures" mode to have it work every time the problem occurs. The bug has not been addressed by samsung yet. I love this feature but the bug is annoying
