Hello

I'm having an issue with galaxy flip 4. It seems to be glitching.  Not sure of the computer lingo, but it's seems to be acting almost "robotic."

  • When i go to swipe, it swipes real fast.
  • Or has trouble loading
  • And lagging

I'm not sure how to explain it. I've reset my wifi, done a factory reset (the apps didn't restore. Yes  backed it up before I factory reset my flip 4.)

I've scanned my phone using the cleaning and testing of my phone. It comes back fine. I've had this phone for about 4 years.  I bought it new from Samsung

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi @Tneg Welcome to the Samsung Community Forum.

A Factory Reset is the deepest troubleshooting step you can take so your possible next steps are to send feedback via your Samsung Members App and or arrange for a Samsung Service Centre to assess your phone.

Daily Driver > Samsung Galaxy s²⁵ Ultra 512Gb ~ Titanium Black.

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.
I'm here to help. " This is the way. "

Good Morning! Thank you for your response. I have tried all that several times. Let me explain exactly what is going on.
My tik tok account has been hacked. I cant figure out how to get it back . I have been sending them emails everyday for about a month. Then I notice a change in my phone. When i go to swipe notifications away it seems to be jerking away, not swiping away smooth like it was. Then, I keep getting notifications saying my mom sent me an attachment from facebook. I asked her, she said she hasnt sent me anything. So i just swipe those away.
To make a long story shorter, I started freaking out and I backed up all my apps, including pics and texts, before I factory reset. I couldnt figure out how to get my info back so, I connected my tablet to my flip 4 and  did it by Switch. Keep in mind, I havent used my tablet in a while. I think that is where I messed up.
Its still glitching, jerking, and getting weird notifications. I never open email or anything from someone I dont know.
Anyway, my pictures and texts never restored. It gave me an error saying, cant restore, or something like that. I always like to keep all my pictures and texts.
I know on my HP laptop, I can restore to an earlier date. Is there anyway I can do that on my Flip 4?
Thank you,
Tneg

This is sad to hear. It's important to be vigilant, never share passwords, and always check for phishing scams. Sadly, it's hardly ever a case of being hacked, but more so a case of being tricked.
Be sure to look at;
https://stopthinkfraud.campaign.gov.uk/recovery-from-fraud/recovering-losses/what-to-do-if-youve-bee...

In addition to this

1. To access this option, navigate to and open Settings on your phone, then tap your Samsung account name at the top of the screen. 2. Tap Samsung Cloud, and then tap Restore data. 3. From here, select the desired backup and follow the prompts to complete the restoration process

Also. What id do is factory reset, use smart switch again and move everything besides your apps, this is because older versions can cause error

Finally, after this-
Turn off your device: Ensure your phone is completely powered off.

Connect to a computer: Plug your phone into a computer using a USB cable.

Enter Recovery Mode:Press and hold the Volume Up key.

Simultaneously press and hold the Power key.

Release both keys when the Android logo appears.

Navigate to Recovery Menu:Wait for the Android system recovery menu options to appear.

Use the Volume Down key to navigate through the menu options.

Select "Wipe Cache Partition":Highlight "Wipe cache partition" using the Volume Down key.

Confirm the selection by pressing the Power key.

Confirm "Yes":Use the Volume Down key to highlight "yes".

Confirm the action by pressing the Power key.

Wait for Completion: Allow the process to complete, then your phone will reboot
