Hello everyone . Since the recent update 6.1.1 my WiFi stopped working . The toggle switch just wont stay on .

What's strange is when the phone is closed on the front screen the WiFi will works perfectly. As soon as I open the phone to use the Inside screen the WiFi switches off and does not come back on even if I close the phone . I then have to restart the phone for the WiFi to work again on the front screen .

Hello @Raheemk9 👋

I'm sorry to hear your experiencing these issues with WiFi on your phone. 😔

There has been some recent threads on the forum similar to yours.

i.e

https://eu.community.samsung.com/t5/other-galaxy-s-series/wifi-button-isn-t-working.

If you perform a forum search you may find existing threads with some further help or guidence within.

A couple of troubleshooting steps you can try are >

1.  Clear Cache Files from the phone's System Partition Section  > https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-do-i-clear-the-cache-on-my-device/ You may need to insert your earphones or hook upto a powered On Laptop or use a Tv's USB Port to access the Clear Partition Section. This may help with lag or stutters as this clears the phone of old/unused or broken cache files.There is also a Repair Apps option in the Menu System too { Possibly excluding the s²⁴ Series of phone's }

2.  Try a forced reboot by holding down the volume down key and power button simultaneously for more than 7 seconds to restart it. When your phone resets, you will feel it vibrate.

If i can be of any further help please don't hesitate to ask  😎

I am having the same issue since the update. I have tried all the above. When I try to clear the cache, the phone starts as normal and I get a message saying it something failed.

This is going to cost me as more data will need to be purchased. Will there be a fix rolled out?
