Seems to be a common fault on the flip with the cover lifting on the fold of the device, thought it might be a simple repair of the cover, only to find the whole warranty of the device is void due to any other damage to the device.....whether it impacts the screen or not, and a repair can only be done if they repair all defects at the cost to the customer. In my case a 4 month old cracked to the rear cover that is so small it can not be felt by touch and only just visible, yet has no I.pact of the screen cover.

Hi @r1ch5919

In order for Samsung to effect a Repair on the phone they have to bring the phone back upto warranty standards.

Unfortunately accidental damage isn't covered under the Limited 2 Year Manufacturing Warranty hence the cost.

If I can be of any further help then please don't hesitate. Take care.  😎

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.
I'm here to help. " This is the way. "

But how does any damage to the rear of the phone affect the standard of quality for the screen protector that is faulty due to the design of the phone, its unfair to make it chargeable and force a cosmetic repair of a part that doesn't not affect the operation of the phone, and does not need to be accessed for the repair of the screen protector. I would completely agree if a repair was required and access was needed to repair an internal component fault, but a screen protector is an external cover and this seems to be a money maker for samsung and an exclusion of liability for a fair warranty.
