Samsung Z Fold 4 internal Screen Issue

Hi,

I purchased Samsung Z fold on 29 October 2022 and still in warranty.

Last week my phone started issue with internal display screen with Octa/line lcd always and the Service technician is asking me to pay 2976 SAR to fix this issue.

In repair description they mentioned physical damage where as there is no such damage apart from scratchs on the side border that too near the power button area.

The support also mentioned physical scractches on the screen whereas there is no single scratch on both internal and outside screen.

Samsung service technician is saying the side border (Metal area) has hard dents and this is out of warranty. 

Do you guys really see any hard dents on the edges?

This really raises more concerns on the post sales support and i am sure Samsunng is aware of this known issue.

Kindly suggest how to proceed with this case as spending $1700 on new phone and paying additional $793 for repairing LCS screen while in warranty is not acceptable.Service order sheet before.jpg

Samsung wants $750 to repair my inner screen. Sounds like, as I suspected, it won't likely last very long.  I'm probably also better off with a non folding phone.

I feel your pain.  Unfortunately, Samsung does not wish to publicly admit that their folding screen technology is not durable.

Yup Samsung is such a let down and charging so much for the screen and it'll just break again so it's not even worth fixing it get a non foldable phone . There screen price is way to much and they know it's problematic and find any excuse to not fix it

After a year and a half of use of my FOLD4, out of the blue, it presented this very issue, a black line in the middle of inner screens and their total unresponsiveness to touch or to any interaction.

I take excellent care not only of my electronics but of everything I own. As several people here reported, the first thing Samsung technical service does is try to find an excuse to blame the customer of the problem. In my case they tried, asking me what I did to the phone. They were not able to find even a tiny scratch since I keep my phone as new, you will not distinguish between a new phone and mine because of the care I provide.

The final statement of Samsung Technical Service: Defective Main Display. They said both, the Fold and FLex models, have plastic screens that present this issue.

Samsung refuses to acknowledge the problem. I did not pay more than 2,000 dollars for a defective phone that failed and will continue to fail because of a well-known defect, which Samsung refuses to fix. 

I invite every owner of either model to get in touch to take action and hold Samsung accountable for their fraudulent behavior.

Samsung technical team including product management busy in collecting commission what they earned from so called fold premium model....

i do have the same issue with my ZFOLD 4..And just like that, one day, my phone decided to shut down when im unfolding it...and this happened after downloading their last update.And this is my 2nd Zfold 4....Last year, 1 week after the release of zfold 5, they sent software updates to fold users, when i downloaded it, i started having issues with my phone.(Wifi wasnt working anymore)..Thank God my warranty was still valid..So they sent me another Z FOLD 4. Now this year, few days after the release of ZFOLD 6, they sent software updates and nom im having screen issue... I'm convinced they are doing that on purpose..to prompt customer to buy the new model..THAT IS NOT RIGHT!

After being a faithful customer, im leaving Samsung for One plus Open..They are not gonna play with my money like that
