Recent security update on fold3 has caused front folding camera to fail

I recently updated the OS with a security update.

One UI version 5.1.1

Current version: F926U1UES4GWI3

Security patch level: Oct 1, 2023.

Last update was Oct 21, 2023.

Android 13.

Now, with the phone closed and folded, and I launch the camera app, the preview to use the front camera (for selfie) does not work.  An error message appears: "Warning: Camera Failed"

At this point, even if I try to install another camera app, the front camera for selfie when the fold3 is folded does not work.

The only way I can get the camera app to be operational, I have to unfold the phone, re-launch the camera app.  The camera app works with the phone unfolded.  If I use the main camera when unfolded, and then close the phone.  And re-launch the camera app, I can see the image in the camera app using the main camera lens. but if I switch to selfie mode, the camera app fails again.

@seankang, It could be hardware issue not related to the system update. You should visit service centre.

I tried to contact Samsung -- but they directed me to go to a UBreakIFix place to repair it.  The cost was high. So I used the fold as a trade in to buy a galaxy S23 Ultra.  For now, I will stay away from the fold.  

One thing that I did not realize when I bought the fold3: it is big and heavy;  too big to put into a jeans front or rear pocket.  So I started to use a man-purse, which I regret.  Now with the S23Ultra, I dont use the m-urse.
