Photos not loading after a back up (backup failure)

Hi, I lost my Samsung recently and I bought a Z6 flip phone. I attempted a full phone backup, but for some reason the majority of the photos are not loading after the back up, neither showing up on the gallery or google photos. Please help me find a solution for this issue as the photos are highly important for my work. I’ve already tried restarting the phone, and checking the trash folder.

Hi @AmeerMasad .

If you have been backing up photos before you lost it, then your photos should be available in google photos even on web.

Maybe check that first on the chrome browser under photos.

If you are trying to back up now after loosing the phone then that will be an issues and depends whether your old phone is still connected to a network to upload the photos.

Also as mentioned if you had been backing them up then once given permission the minute you sign in google photos they should appear after syncing

@AmeerMasad Have you searched in My Files as well as Google photos?  Possibly  Google photos available on the web as @GoanGeek  states.   Do you have syncronisation with One Drive set up? Are you photos not backed up anywhere else. I would recommend backing up photos and files using at least a few services and also local storage, do not really want to take the chance.   Some information here https://www.techradar.com/best/best-ways-to-backup-photos  However that is more guidance for the future, may not necessarily help in this situation.
