Phone stopped charging when closed

Hi my z flip 6 has stopped charging when the hinge is closed but works fine when fully open. I've done all the troubleshooting and nothing works. Has this happened to anyone else?

Is it usb charging or wireless?

USB when open working fine. Wireless when closed working fine. USB when closed not working.

May I ask what troubleshooting steps you have tried 🤔 

Please do check the charging port with a torch 🔦 for any build up of debris if you haven't already. 

Try a forced reboot by holding down the volume down key and power button simultaneously for more than 7 seconds to restart it. When your phone resets, you will feel it vibrate.

If all else fails then please arrange for a Samsung Service Centre to have hands on.

Hi i went through it all last night with a helpful lady. I was just wondering if anyone had any similar issues on here before sending it off. Need my phone for work you see so I'm in a dilemma.

Yeah, same issue here. I don't know when exactly it started, but it was recent. Not sure if it is related to the update that posted not long ago?

I sent mine off they repaired the battery and screen with warranty. Very quick and excellent service. After Christmas get onto one of the support team and they'll help you out.

So, this is a bit weird. Literally a few hours after I posted the above, my inner touch screen became totally unresponsive. So, guess that might have been a symptom of a bigger issue.

Off to the repair shop for me...
