New device without an old device, backup, setup advice

Thanks to hapless Parcelforce my new mobile is AWOL and I have sold and need to post the old one tomorrow (yes pointless as its Xmas Eve, but buyer wants it posted so must respect that).

So it leaves me in a unknown scenario as i usually Smart Switch old to new.

Question, will a standard backup save everything on my old device, which I can then restore?

Or any other ideas, note i have 166GB of data.

So when I've swapped devices in the last couple of years, I've used SmartSwitch to bring across everything from my Google Back Up EXCEPT apps which I do manually when I'm ready for them.

Passwords and log in details are not copied across anyway.

Last back up I did was about 80gb.

Thanks mate, thinking Samsung Cloud is my only option but not sure it's good for 160GB.

Will try as out of options, well a messy, backup to a spare and then restore from that.

Personally @Obsydian I always use Samsung Cloud to create my back up to then use that back up on my new phone. 

As Gallery isn't backed up there is use Dropbox and SmartSwitch from phone to phone which I appreciate you won't be able to do but there's always OneDrive.

Thanks I was just looking at backup to Samsung Cloud and spotted an option to also backup to a USB drive.
