When you go to your apps on the new update is there a way you can put the Google search on top instead of it being at the bottom strange question but driving me mad ha

Yes you can.

Press down on the search bar and then you can drag it to where you want it on the screen.

I've tried that it doesn't get highlighted

It did on the device I had. Was the first thing I did after set up

That isn't the Google search bar you are showing( you can move that one) but the app search bar( in your picture) you can't move...as of yet!!
