Hi,

I have been moved from BT to EE and my Fold 6 Sim card manager is not showing my number but only eleven zeros!

Tried to get in touch with EE but they say the phone is working with calls and messages showing my number. They said to wait for a software update to see my number in the Sim manage and about phone profile in settings.

Is there a way how I can get the sim card corrected in the sim manager to show my mobile number?

Many thanks

Hi Guys,

To update you, EE Mobile has sorted out the issue, and my mobile number is now shown in the SIM Manager.

Cheers!

@Trev27star: On occasion, the wrong number will show up in Settings > About phone instead of your phone number, or it will say 'Unknown' where the number should be populated. This can also be true of the number which is displayed in SIM manager. Please be assured that this is simply a read error, and you should find that your network capabilities are unaffected, and you can still be reached on your network-assigned number. If you are concerned, then we recommend reaching out to your network provider to request a SIM swap, to see if this resolves the issue. Alternatively, try powering off the phone, remove the SIM, then re-add it and power back on. You may also wish to try toggling the SIM off and on again in SIM manager to see if this helps.

From my understanding, the sim manager will log the number that was first associated with the sim card. So if it was blank sim and not have a temp number on it then it's probably why it's showing eleven 0s.

Does your calls, texts and data work okay? When texting and making calls does it show your number to the recipient?

If yes, then don't stress about it.

Thank you for the quick response.

The main cause is EE mobile who created this issue while transferring my number from BT mobile.

I was on BT mobile and my number was showing in the Sim manager and all was fine..

I have another family mobile which is on BT and both were given a PAC code.

I gave my PAC code first after getting a EE number and completed the PAC transfer on the EE porting page.

The next day it was my other family number on my phone! EE used my PAC code and transferred the other number to my phone. They did not even take the other PAC code.

Called EE to sort out and then they activate my old number with a another EE number which was showing on my sim manager but my old number was working for out going calls and text.

Spoke again to EE and they tell me to wait for a software update!

I then requested another new replacement sim card and was charged for it in spite of it being their fault.

Accepted the charge and they sent me a replacement and it could be activated only after receiving and the card sent to me had 11 zeros as a number which is still showing in the sim manager.

My old number works but I am so disappointed have bought this Galaxy Fold 6 and have to go through this mess.

Not sure if Samsung can do something to about it.

BT is moving all their customers to EE as the contract expires and creates all the problems along the way.

I am also not sure if a master reset of the phone would help?

Many thanks!
