Hi folks,

Really hope someone can help! My Fold 4 is c.18momths old and just today has started to refuse to connect to any cell network, allowing only emergency calls & WiFi Calling.

It is the same issue for both physical SIM slots and with 2 different carrier SIMs tested - both tested SIMs work in an iPhone without problems. SIM 2 slot is worse as not even emergency calling is possible.

I have tried resetting mobile data configs, hard restart, restart into safe mode and enable only mobile connectivity with all 3rd party services and unrelated background tasks disabled.

I have also tried resetting the phone to factory settings and still nothing.

My device model is: SM-F936B/DS.

OS version is: One UI 6.1

Android version is: 14

I really hope someone can help! Tha KS in advance for any advice.

Cheers,

You're very welcome @travega

I do think you maybe at the stage of having a Samsung Service Centre taking a look 👀

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.

@travega I would suggest to first run the diagnostic tool in your Samsung Members App to see if that highlights anything.

You could try Safe Mode  > Safe Mode  > https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-to-start-my-galaxy-device-in-safe-mode/ turns off downloaded apps and themes etc which may highlight an app or theme that's causing conflict. Alternatively long press the power off button and then ling hold on Turn Off to get to Safe Mode.

And as a very last resort back up and factory reset.

Eventually you may need to let a Samsung Service Centre have hands on.

If i can be of any further help please don't hesitate to ask  😎

Thanks @BandOfBrothers , I have run the diagnostic you suggested and it says the SIM card isn't recognised (see attached).

As I've tried the factory reset, safe mode, different SIMs in each slot, verified those SIMs work in another phone and tried the suggested steps for reinserting the SIM cards it looks like I might be out of options other than have Samsung look at it.

Thanks for your suggestions. If there's anything else you think of that I can try, let me know.

Cheers.
