Hello @thewuraola_
This does sound like the hinge may have an issue with it's mechanism or somehow some debris has managed to get inside.
A Samsung Service Centre will assess your phone for you.
Daily Driver > Samsung Galaxy s²⁵ Ultra 512Gb ~ Titanium Black.
The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.
I'm here to help. " This is the way. "

My phone dies when I open the screen up. Front is working. I think Samsung should recall all the faulty fold 4s and replace the screens. I've had mime 1 year and just at the warranty is up... the phone dies.

I am experiencing same issue after 370 days of purchase. Taken to service center, they are advising to replace the screen out of warranty as warranty just expired 7 days before. I tried to understand service center technician, that some foreign particle is obstructing to open the screen by 180 degree, they are not listening to me.

I do feel the same, that some foreign particle or internal glue after heating up is obstructing to open 180 degrees. But brushing is not possible as there is very negligible space (gap) in hinge for brush hair to get into space where object is stuck. I am afraid that with time, screen may not turn off and leave some crack line, if i continue to use in this condition. (Opening 176 degrees)
