Frustrated over the delays for the One UI7

I'm so annoyed they're dragging their feet on this update. It feels like forever waiting for One UI 7 on my Z Flip 6. Everyone who owns a google device is getting it, why not us? This is getting ridiculous, and I'm starting to regret buying this phone. These flips and folds are premium devices yet Samsung just doesn't care about their customers, I'm seriously considering going back to my iphone 16 pro full time. Delays after Delays that's all it's been lately with Samsung....

I read an article on Techdar that One UI 7 won't be available until around May 🤷🏽, and those which are on the beta program will get a few more updates.
But by the time we receive that the new, Android 16 will be rolling out on Google devices, and others if they choose not put there special touch on it. A bit annoyed, but it is what it is 🤐
Will still stick to Samsung regardless of how long their updates takes to come out, but we all know that when we get it, it'll be brilliant and worth the wait 🙏🏾

I've read rumours that Samsung decided to do a few more Betas to add some more AI features that it originally intended to only give to the S25 series, because it came under heavy fire from dissatisfied S24 users, its best-selling series ever.

Yep my sentiment aswell. I've been with Samsung since the S3 and even then I've been frustrated with how slow they've been with updates. Honestly if Apple can update all their product lines at once, then why can't samsung 🤷‍♂️ I'm going to use my iphone full time I think.

When it's fully stable lol that's one way of putting it... The fact is, as mentioned by several others chances are by the time the S24 and all the others get it, android 16 will be out. Again as I keep saying, if Apple can realese their OS updates to all their product lines at once with all the testing out of the way and realese it on the given time frame, then surely Samsung can do the same? They get the OS to test well in advance from Google don't they? It's frustrating given we pay all this money for their phones and well over £1000 for the premium phones such as my Z Flip 6, yet we end up getting last year's OS when the new one has been released and already on the pixels etc. Not good! as a paying customers we pay these TGH prices so we expect high standards and new OS updates like Apples, i.e all phoes updated on time and all at one8!! Not to mention security patches that don't brick out phones like the ones that seem to be bricking or causes a lot of issues with the Z6 Flip. So can't even install the patch incase in breaks my £1,049 phone. Sorry for the rant lol

Frustrating given the amount of money we pay for these devices. And your point on bugs etc as a good point, however Samsung have released many security patches that are far from perfect, case and point the February security update that's messing up and bricking the Z Flip 6's as mentioned on the members app. My point is they don't seem to have time restraints on OS's but can push out buggy and flawed security patches. I don't wanna install the February security patch in case in bricks my Z Flip 6... Lol there's going to be a 50/50 of people debating this One UI 7 android 15 thing until Samsung releases it.

That's understandable. Let's hope they are taking so long to ensure something like this doesn't happen again. As I haven't seen much information about the Z Flip—by the sounds of it, it's been a horrific experience for some. Let's hope this time there are no issues, hence the large time frame

iPhone has its own IOS, where as Samsung makes tweaks to Googles software for its phones so we can get the best experience from it, plus 🍏S IOS 18 is trickling down in bits, users still don't have 🍏S full AI experience, their next 18.?? will finally have Siri working AI.
Patience 🙏🙏 is worth it, at the end of the day, not in anyway trying to get you to stay with Samsung, I don't work for them, but as I said before, Samsung has to get Google's OS to work on its phones, it might not come out 100% perfect, but it'd be much less buggy than if it were to come out now

I'm fully aware Apple has its own OS and I'm fully aware Samsung has to "tweak" android to its own devices... My point is some what lost here clearly! But I'll reiterate my point to make myself better understood. Samsung has been in the business of phones and tweaking the android OS for years now, so this task should be second nature and above par with Apple. Just because one company has it's own OS and business model it doesn't mean a company who has to rely on someone else's OS has to be behind on getting their updates to their users. Yes they have to mess about with things but again they get access to the software well in advance before they even mention it to the public. Yes Apple's "AI" isn't upto much considering it was advertised with the iphone 16 modes but at least they had a OS out to all devices. Also they do have to tweak their own OS so it works on all devices even ones that have a better OS life spam than android phones. All being said this is a topic that has no good or bad, just innovation that comes eventually none the less.
