Fold 5 bricked right after update

As the title says, after the update, phone turned on. Couldn't connect with wifi. Bluetooth was not stable. All of a sudden, the phone turned off even through i had about 80% charge. I plugged the phone in. Icon showed charging but no %. After 10 minutes of charging, I tried turning it on. It wouldn't come back on. I tried plugging the phone back in- nothing. The phone doesn't charge at all. No icon or anything. Warranty will probably be rejected bc the phone has scratches on the case.

 

Any help is appreciated. Phone was working fine before update. It seems I may have to come out of pocket for a new phone. Was this update optional? I didn't initial it. At least I don't remember initializing it.

Updates aren't optional so don't feel down about installing it. Ideally take it to a samsung store and have them look at it. Even if they say no, there's a chance they say yes.

For things you can try at home.
Run diagnostics in the support section of the samsung members app. (If you can turn it on)

Try clearing the cache partition and rebooting.

Drastic ideas.
Reset the device and see if that helps. Use the recovery menu
Put the device into download mode (look up how to do that) and using smart switch on a pc, reinstall android onto the device using the emergency software restore feature. If the update failed in some way this sorta rewrites everything.

Rare to see a device just die after an update so those are my general "one of these has to work" sorta ideas. Don't see this issue much so I don't have any known fixes. Just try to get a backup of your data if you can

Also, you using a proper charger or a cheapo one?

Using a regular samsung charger, and a fast charger. They both work on partners fold 5 phone with no issue

Phone is dead. I tried going into recovery (power and volume up), but nothing.  I'll try the samsung store.  Thanks

Others have given good advice, one off the wall from me is clean the device USB port and USB cable with some compressed air, DO NOT just mouth blow please, fingers crossed it might work, for me I resurrected two laptops down the debris in the charge port.
