Fold 4 left semi open question

Let say I use my fold 4 like a bed time and morning side alarm clock. Does keeping my fold 4 semi open weakens any parts? Will it be weaker to dust? I m not used to have those fears but now it's a new way of having a phone and I want to make sure I don't do things that doesn't make my phone last me years.

Leaving it partly open won't affect it. Won't be putting any strain on parts and it's meant to be used in flex mode for example.
It's protected from dust to a certain point anyway.
Just use it how you want and enjoy 🙂

The phone is IP68 dust and water resistant so I wouldn't worry about the dust. There's more dust in the average pocket.

I use my Fold³ like this regularly.

The hinge system on the Fold³ and the new version on the Fold⁴ are more than adequate to hold open.

I watch YouTube that way too.

The only caveat is it may need a wipe down from dust that's settled on it.
