So my fold is 14 months old and the protective fold screen cover got 2 air bubbles appear on the fold part of the screen, but before I could take it to Vodafone for advice the next day I opened the phone to find a black line down the fold part of the screen and nothing works.
Vodafone wont repair under their 2 year warranty (which I was told when buying would cover the screen) saying even though it is a known issue the screen is not part of the warranty.
Has anyone gone to Samsung for a repair as I'm not paying £600 to repair a 14 month old phone .
Surely it's got to be a fault with the screen especially as I haven't been a heavy user, open around 4 times a day.
I'm a Samsung customer for all my phones, TVs, tablets, ear buds etc. But am now annoyed I didn't just keep with the s series phones I've never had a problem with.
Went through complaints with Vodafone and they don't want to know apart from as I've been a Vodafone customer for 23 years they would give me a credit of £25 to go against the repair cost of £600.56. Told them that's an insult so now in contact with the Financial Ombudsman as I don't agree with there verdict. 2 year total warranty is not total cover it seems as only covers hardware and software so not total warranty as worded. Vodafone wouldn't tell me how many fold 4 screens they are having issues with but did admit it is an known issue so told me to go to Samsung, my argument is that I bought the phone from them so they should be sorting the issue for me . My nearest Samsung service centre is a 1.5 hours away 😬
