Had phone since Jan, when opening into double screen, phone completely cuts out all screens, this is down to defect in workmanship, phone has not been mis used, always been in case, screen protector still on, samsung have now said its out of warranty for the smallest little mark on the hinge, how can cosmetic wear from using a phone cause a problem, read other reviews which say the same

If I'm being honest with you, I would love a foldable device in concept. But in reality, no. I won't get one because of the horror stories I read.

I get that the numbers commenting on here are minute, but never the less. It is an expensive device and has poor support from Samsung.

My advice to you depends on how you paid for it. If you paid on a CREDIT card, I would go for a Section 75 Claim via your bank through the Consumer Credit Act and recover your money.

Agree with you 100% I would order one tomorrow but they are beta devices, ultra cheaper more reliable and more kit even if the screen is tiny in comparison

Ive been recently having this issue. Ive had no accidents with my phone. Started out of nowhere after the update. its fine when the screen is closed. ONLY happens if the screen is folded out and any sound or notification is played, the screen turns black. Then Im left trying to force reset the phone.

There seems to be a temporary work around by connecting the sound to a bluetooth device or usb headphones. If playing sound and its disconnected, the screen will instantly go black again.

I would call it a manufacturers defect.
