I've saw a few posts with people having issues with wifi not turning on. Everything that has been suggested has been tried. Reboot, reset network settings, master reset. Nothing works! Sent the phone to Samsung for repair and they returned it saying no fault found. I'm not silly, there definitely is a fault as it will not turn on at all. And today Bluetooth wouldn't connect even though its turned on. £1600 device and Samsung won't accept there is a problem. Can anyone suggest next steps before I lose all my hair!?

Have to spread the word to all the other tech sites and phone forums.

Hi there, my mam isnt tech savvy and this phone was perfect for her with work. But since the update 2 days ago shes having the exact same issues yous are. Wifi wont turn on/turns off after a while/if phone is unfolded. The big screen has since stopped responding at all. All a month after warrenty which after reading this doesnt seem like it would help us anyway. We dont have the money to fix repares for something that *shouldnt* occure to tech this new that costs as much as it does.... has there been ANY official note from Samsung on what to do given this very much seems to be an issue with their hardware/software? Wouldnt even know where to begin with class actions but seems a lot of people have been screwed here...

Anyone have any help or advice? Thanks.

I am experiencing the very same issue. The Wifi wont turn on, then the big screen (and now the smaller screen) are just all black. It will turn on and display the Samsung Logo but it then will stop working. This is a software issue rampant in the Philippines, but Samsung is not doing ***** about it. For a VERY expensive phone, this is scrap.

As losing the ability to connect to WIFI on the FOLD3  is a KNOWN issue/defect by Samsung, any reputable company would have done a recall on this phone to repair or replace at no cost to the owner and with very minimal further inconvenience.  It is highly offensive that when you contact Samsung about this issue, the robot representatives that answer the calls act like they are not aware of this issue and waste your time with a series of tech steps.  If a high level Samsung representative is monitoring this post, you need to reach out to each and every FOLD3 owner immediately to arrange local repair or replacement.  Otherwise, I do foresee a hefty Class Action Lawsuit in Samsung's near future.  The Courts in the USA especially are not at all lenient about a Company's disregard for known product defects and the unwillingness to immediately repair or replace the product.

The wifi problem with the fold 3 is linked to the display .. I have the same problem they have asked me to change the display .. my display is only 6 months old.

I had to change my display.   Rarely used the Fold.  In the first 3 months, a small dot appeared nat the hinge, then got larger.  One day, a qhole black strip appeared, and tee right half.of the big screen didnt work, but the left did, as did the small front screen.  Supposedly the WifiBluetooth cable is right at the hinge--smart move Samsung.   This is slowly coming to light.  Even the service centers dont seem aware.   So if hinge is damaged, likely the WifiBuetooth cable too.  And if the service guy is not aware, and only changes the screen, or damages the WifiBluetoth cable.in the screen replacement, then there goes the WifiBluetooth cable.  I went to UbreakIfixIt, an authorized Samsung service center.  They replaced the screen, and my WifiBluetooth happens.to not work after that. Before bringing it in, WifiBluetooth was working, per the very functional front smaller screen.

After they fixed the big screen, Bluetooth and Wifi never worked.  Brought it back,  and tjey claimed they ran all the tests, reset the networks, and reset /cleared the phone and there was nothing wrong.  They claimed "maybe motherboard issues" which meant not their responsibility.   At the time, Samgsung update One UI 5.1 was dpne. And had two updates in April, 2023.  Still no fixes.

So Samsumg has 2 issues--nad hinge w WifiBluetooth cable at the stupid hinge, and independently it seems w the recent updates, many people have had their WifiBT wiped out.

This should be called "Cringe-the-Samsung-hinge"-GATE.

So to het it fixed, have to replace tee screen again, to get to the hinge.  Another $600?!!   No.thanks.    No.more Fold.  I will be spreading the word around.   If other companies are buying Samsumg screens for their own.folding phones, and the WifiBT vable.is also at the hinge, I guess the problem.will get bigger.

I domt know what is worse right now---Samsung w Fold 3...  or Microsoft w its Duo line.

The strange thing for my case is that the inner screen is perfectly fine. Bluetooth still works, but the WiFi doesn't.

The outer screen has some cracks from a fall, which Samsung will probably blame for the reason of the WiFi not working.

My ZFold 3 has never been dropped or damaged, has no cracks and has never been exposed to water.  So, like many people, I have no Wife ability and this is a known defect that Samsung should be obligated to rectify.

My Fold 3 also got the same problem, after updated One UI on last month, it sudden no voice on all of my Bluetooth devices, after around one month, the wifi cannot turn-on after unfold. I thought I was unlucky, after I found this post, seems many cases appeared after update One UI, I'm very disappointed in Samsung that I need to pay another $600 for their problem for such expensive device, I'm designing to change back to Apple now.
