Fold 3 wifi not turning on

I've saw a few posts with people having issues with wifi not turning on. Everything that has been suggested has been tried. Reboot, reset network settings, master reset. Nothing works! Sent the phone to Samsung for repair and they returned it saying no fault found. I'm not silly, there definitely is a fault as it will not turn on at all. And today Bluetooth wouldn't connect even though its turned on. £1600 device and Samsung won't accept there is a problem. Can anyone suggest next steps before I lose all my hair!?

Well I got lucky, Samsung came to the party with a warranty new screen which was apparently the fix. Phones good as new

I have exactly the same issue as you. Restart phone, wifi works when folded, unfold, wifi stops, then it restarts and wifi will not work.

I'm on OneUI 5.1.

March 2023. I have been struggling with the exact same issue for about a week. MY Galaxy Fold 3 will pair with my Razer Soundbar but will not play audio through it. Tried a different phone, works just fine. Since yesterday my Galaxy Fold refuses to connect to wifi. Tried every sane suggestion on the net: flight mode, soft reset, hard reset, reset network settings, etc. The wifi connection toggle switch refuses to find any network. It's not my modem as my PC and PS5 are connected just fine. Went over this twice via telephone with Samsung support and neither could solve it. This included hard resetting my phone once again. So, the last option is to take it to the Samsung store whereby, according to everything else written here, Samsung are simply going to absolve themselves from the issue and resort to victim-blaming. I paid good money for my phone I ***** well want one that works.

I only start having this problem since the last update. All my other devices do have this problem.

 

The only thing I have not done is a master reset. I am using Wi-Fi 6.

And I am not able to go to SAFE MODE

If anyone is interested on an update to my situation, the WiFi has totally stopped working now, folded or not.

Yup same issue, wifi used to work when folded and now it doesnt work folded or unfolded. Hope someone finds a solution soon, till then i have to use data

I'm speculating here but I wonder if they borked an update to the WiFi driver in the last update.

I find it strange my inner display is supposed to be the component that easily breaks but instead it's the WiFI?

I've been using WiFi on smartphones since the Nokia N95 way back and never had WiFi break on any device in all these years.

Lucky you. Mine out of warranty. Wanted SGD 660 for it.

I think Samsung has a design issue/flaw, they should recall the Fold 3. Wifi Issue after U5.1 updates. No way to row back to previous version to see if that is the issue. To fix Wi-fi need to change the whole screen. And they will only give you 1 month warranty for a $660 replacement. 

 

Samsung should replace the Fold 3 or at least have a good value option for upgrading to the Fold 4 which will be obsolete by August. I am waiting for a next fold phone that is NOT a Samsung to come to my market. Or a non-Samsung that runs on the latest processors. I am living on mobile plan as SGD 660 buys a lot of data.

I'm having the same issue !! I just got an error code pop up asking me to send a report to Samsung but it wouldn't send because I need to be connected to WiFi !!!
