I have a z flip 4 that's only 7 months old. A line started to show horizontally across the screen before spreading across the whole screen. I took this to a service centre where I was told it could not be fixed under warranty because 'I had dropped it'. I have not dropped it but its my word against theirs. I am now stuck with a phone I cannot use. Is this a common problem with this phone?

In short yes, best to stick to a normal flat screen phone, even the folds cause problems like yours.

Hello @kevinho23

Was there any impact damage i.e dints or scratches on the phone ?

If not did the Service Centre explain how they had assessed the phone and determined this was accidental damage ?

You could contact Samsung Support to ask for the situation to be re assessed however they may confirm what the Samsung Service Centre has advised.

Other options maybe insurance such as Home Contents Insurance and or some Bank Accounts provide cover as a perk of the account.

If I can be of any further help then please don't hesitate. Take care.  😎
