Lines have appreared on my screen I've taken it in to EE and just like there network they were rubbish. As there is a tiny little of plastic missing from holding the.phone They say the 24 month warranty is not valid. there is not a single scratch or mark anywhere on the phone and as its a fold phone it wouldn't damage the area that's marked even if I had dropped it. So that leaves me with a phone that has an annoying (now 2 lines) down the screen which suddenly appeared.
Any suggestions welcome except the obvious change supplier and manufacturer.

Hi,
Lines appearing on a phone screen, whether horizontal, vertical, or a mix, are often a sign of either hardware or software issues. Common causes include physical damage from drops or impacts, water damage, software glitches, or loose display connections.

Here's a breakdown of potential causes and solutions:

Hardware Issues:

Physical Damage: Drops, impacts, or pressure can damage the screen or its internal components, leading to lines.

Water/Moisture Damage: Exposure to liquids can also cause display problems.

Loose Display Connections: Over time, vibrations or drops can loosen the connection between the display and the phone's motherboard.

Software Issues:

Software Glitches: Occasionally, software errors can cause display anomalies.

Incompatible Apps: In rare cases, a buggy or incompatible app might interfere with graphics rendering, causing visual glitches.

Outdated Software: An outdated operating system or apps can sometimes cause display issues.

Troubleshooting Steps:

Restart Your Phone: A simple restart can sometimes resolve minor software glitches.

Check for Loose Connections: If you're comfortable, you can try gently reseating the display connection.

Safe Mode: Booting into safe mode can help determine if a third-party app is the culprit.

Update Software: Ensure your phone's operating system and apps are up to date.

Factory Reset: If all else fails, a factory reset can be a last resort, but it will erase all data on your phone.

Professional Repair: If the problem persists, it's best to seek professional help from a repair center or the phone's manufacturer.

Thanks Steve tried a couple of the options I am able to do and no change. I've seen that quite a few customers have had the same issue 🤔 Samsung need to get the act together or have the good customer service to fix an obvious manufacturing fault.

If you want a working phone then you'll need to pay for the repairs if you're been told the
warranty is void , not much you can do about it.

I agree with you..my phone has never been dropped and I was using it,it worked perfectly then a green line just appeared, I googled it and it is happening to 1,000's of people..its a manufacturing flaw and Samsung should be repairing all faulty phones free of charge.
