Dex Support

Hi 

Does Zflip 6 support samsung Dex? The resources online say its supported but doesn't show up when I plug in my device to a monitor.

The Galaxy Z Flip 6 might not have Samsung DeX, but it does have a better desktop mode. When you connect your Galaxy Z Flip 6 to an external display, you don't just get a mirrored screen. The Galaxy Z Flip 6 again misses out on Samsung DeX support, but it at least has a pretty decent desktop mode.

To connect a Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 to a monitor, use a USB-C to HDMI adapter. Plug it into your phone's USB-C port, then connect an HDMI cable from the adapter to your monitor. You can also use the "Smart View" feature on your phone to wirelessly mirror your screen to the monitor, ensuring both devices are on the same Wi-Fi network.

Make sure you are using a USB-C to HDMI adapter, not a USB-C to USB-C adapter.

Tried this John but I can't seem to access anything on the desktop. Mouse and keyboard though connected doesn't show up

You're trying to connect to just a display- You can't connect to a PC. You'll need to connect any keyboard/mouse to the phone itself.

Yes did that. I can see the mouse and keyboard work on the phone but nothing shows up on the display so clearly I am doing something wrong 😂

Ah I see- the Flip 6 lacks any dedicated ports for direct connection

Try to manual launch Dex in the settings menu under connected devices. You can also turn auto launch on and off here to.
