@kossakk: I'm sorry to hear that you have encountered this issue. If you have restarted the phone in Safe Mode and the problem was not present, then this suggests that it is being caused by a third party source. With this in mind, please uninstall any third party apps that you have added recently, or since you first encountered the issue, then monitor the performance. Sadly it won't be possible to identify exactly which app is responsible, therefore I recommend approaching this via process of elimination. I apologise for any inconvenience this may cause you.

@kossakk: It is possible that a third party app that you installed prior to the update is responsible for the crashes you're experiencing. I understand that it may not be ideal, however I do recommend proceeding with the steps in my previous post, as this should resolve any performance issues you're having.

I've had the same issue for the past several days since updating to UI 7 and its following security updates. Contacted support and went through troubleshooting (clearing system cache, starting in safe mode, etc.) the first time and assured me I wouldn't have any issue after that. Well, they were wrong because in fact, it actually made it worse. Before, it was only randomly turning off when the screen was closed. Now it shuts off immediately when the screen is closed, even in safe mode. I even used the Samsung Member's app on the phone to use the diagnostic tool but nothing came up as an issue. And I highly doubt it's the battery flex cable issue that I've read online saying that's the main reason why the phone shuts off, saying it's a manufacturer's defect because the timing of the update and phone shutting off is too coincidental, especially after doing everything support suggested. The second time I contacted support tonight, they just told me I had to take it to the service center to get it checked out. If it ends up being the battery flex cable (which I doubt), then we're screwed because without the warranty, I've read it's $400+.

It's an absolute scam. With the Flip 7 just around the corner, the planned oblescence is just too prevalent now. Tech support isn't much help either, with all these cookie cutter and paste answers. You're better off just researching online to find a solution. I waited over an hour yesterday for them to tell me that I needed to take it to the nearest Samsung service center (which is like an hour away from me and no way am I going to just hand it over to stores that are contracted to be authorized repair providers), to find out if there's damage to my phone. The damage is the update, not my phone. My favorite answer from them is removing the recent apps to find out if they're causing the issue (yeah, recent like months ago when I installed them). Seriously, either none of them are qualified or no one takes anything serious anymore these days.

No surprise there about people with the same problems since the update. All the online scouring for this issue, just about everyone with a slightly older phone like the Flip 4 has had some sort of stability issue. A good majority of them are the phone powering off when it's closed and not being able to get it fixed because it's out of the warranty window. Sure, some of the older Flips with years of use on them, I can imagine the flex cable being bad but when it's only a few years like the Flip 4, that's pretty much inexcusable if you ask me. My 2017 Galaxy J3 which cost me like $150 at the time started crashing a year ago because it hadn't had update in years but a phone that cost $1K shouldn't be nearly bricked like this over an update., a stability update no less.
The only option left is to do a factory reset after backing up my phone because it's pretty much useless as a fip phone now. I'm just keeping it open the whole time so what's the point of this phone then? I doubt Samsung's going to take any responsibility to fix this and if they do something about it, like an update, I'm guessing it'll take weeks if we're lucky.
