Enough is enough.
Despite what Samsung says in response to user complaints, the crease/crack along the fold of our Flips and Fold phones ARE a common problem irrespective of whether occuring within the 1st year of ownership or shortly thereafter.
Let's call it what it really is: A component defect.
It's very disappointing, irresponsible and dodgy of Samsung to deem the issue as 'user damage' to evade accountability and foist hefty repair costs upon the user.
How many of you flip/fold owners have worn the burdensome frustration and inconvenience of having your phone fixed in the early days of ownership? How many of you have felt you've had no choice but to pay for Samsung for the repair, or, write off the cost of your phone entirely and buy a new more reliable phone to replace it??
The crease/crack in my phone appeared out of the blue through absolutely no fault of my own. I know I am not the only one. Laying the blame at my feet is utter rubbish.
At the very least, a smart phone should endure 3 years of good use. Not 2 weeks, 6 months or 1.5 years.
Even if Samsung says that the phone was broken because of ‘user damage’, one must look at the structural integrity of the phone itself and question how it could so easily be damaged by users so early on in the phone’s life.
For those of you out of pocket for a repair and/or the cost of an unusable phone plus a new one, let's band together and launch a worldwide class action lawsuit against Samsung for this issue and get our money back.
Who's with me?
I know they've been other community members who've complained or mentioning class actions elsewhere within the community (I among them) so i think it's time.
Enough really is enough.
Please respond here and to any other post regarding class actions on this website and elsewhere to further this cause.

Just been dealing with this, got my fold 4 day one off the skid from Rogers, went on a plan to pay it over time with the option to buy it outright at the end of the contract or return it in good shape to upgrade...my phone was supposed to have device protection through rogers but was never put on, even though I always get it for just such situations...half way through the contract rogers say they no longer do phone repairs or cover them, contact your phones manufacturer...Contacted samsung and they basically blew me off, so now I have a phone that has a factory defect that I cannot return since it's not in working shape anymore and rogers is charging me $1300 on top of $2000 I've already paid or else they'll tag my credit score that I just got going up...samsung didn't even outfit any local repair shops to do this repair, I asked 3 and all gave me the same answer and said call samsung but they want $800+ to fix it....I feel I'm being extorted in a way because either I pay $800+ to fix the phone and return it essentially paying $2800 just to return the phone, pay $1300 to end the contract and keep the broken phone or they will hit my credit score in an attempt to force me to pay for an issue I had no part in....this is a multibillion dollar company and they are certainly sticking it to the little guy instead of doing what's right and factory recalling all the affected phones...which aren't limited to their arbitrary 1 year replacement time limit that most people didn't know about untill it was to late, or like me thought I had protection and was never offered a samsung warranty since rogers bought the phones...I hope this gains traction, I believe it's necessary so whatever happens with this I'd like to be involved

I have the same issue with mines and now my husband device is showing rhe same screen warping. A large bubble appearing down the middle from top of display down to the bottom. I paid 300+ deductible on device I took extreme care with and with a expensive case. Not fair that this product are defective and the customers are suffering from it.

I would happily join this suit. This company is so shady. I have 2 Flip 5s on my TMO account, One got all kinds of bubbles at the fold, Tmobile took cared of it, no problem.
Now, at 11 months of course, the other one is starting to bubble up. sent it to Samsung and they're coming up with every excuse in the world to charge me.
I have so many Samsung devices, earbuds, refrigerator, washer/dryer, but this is it.
They want me to pay for their shoddy engineering. I told them to just send the phone back. They will never get a penny of my money. I will NEVER buy another Samsung product.
EVER.

Most homeowners know to avoid Samsung appliances due to lack of reliability. However, Samsung phones have been considered high quality. Apparently, Samsung is now abandoning any effort to maintain quality standards for any of its products.

I bought two galaxy z fold 4 at the same time. Both big screens have issue. One screen broken within one year under warranty. Another broken in less than two years, which cost $500+ to repair. If anyone suit Samsung, I will definitely support. Shame on Samsung!

I have the Flip Z 5 and the issue still lingers. I want Samsung to be accountable, even if it is just a trade in for a model that doesn't fold/flip.

They knew of the problem and still released a new one every year with the same problem.

Fold 4 just lost Wifi and bluetooth after installing update. No third party app interference as problem persists in maintenance mode. Looks like a hardware issue. add me to the class action suit.
