Not sure what everyone thinks about this.
A foldable phone has a price of a double phone, that's fair, more screen, more price.

But why when you trade in a foldable 5, that's a double phone, just a reminder, that's only a £550 of a trading price that's cheaper than s24?

A foldable 5 is much more expensive than s24 yet the exchange is rubbish.

I don't think the trading price is fair based on this where samsung is charging alot alot more for foldable but training is less than a standard phone? Not logical.

This is a huge disadvantage for those who's prepared to buy a foldable expensive phone yet get nothing out of it comparing to a singular phone as a trade off. I think samsung needs to review their decision in trading prices.

Shame I was hoping to upgrade to foldable 6 but it's not worth the trading.

I totally understand and appreciate your viewpoint on what Samsung has decided to offer in regards to the Trade-in return @Jimmy0382

If what Samsung is offering does not fulfil what you believe the phone is worth, then have you considered selling the phone to a family , friend or work colleague as the return maybe better that avenue.

Daily Driver > Samsung Galaxy s²⁵ Ultra 512Gb ~ Titanium Black.

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.

Personally £1800+ for a phone? No sorry.

£600 for a watch? No sorry.

Yet I can afford both. Just won't pay that sort of money.

Samsung risking losing their customer Base with these prices.

Hi @bandofbrotherd, the point is that it is not fair for EVERYONE who has a foldable phone. I love samsung phone and so excited to be on foldable and I love it. But based on the trade in samsung might actually gain more money by doing what I suggested I feel like consumers will rather BUY A samsung foldable 5 instead. Based that there isn't much of a difference and I got a feeling they will get
Less sales from this phone. You want constant sales and those who are on the foldable to continously buy the foldable. But it's super expensive and the trade off isn't enough.

Fold is for consumers who's into tech. Alot of ppl, I'm 1 out of 7 in my family will not consider a fold.

Exactly my point. And by trading the company will get continuous buyers like me but not at the unfairness of the tradeins for foldable consumers

Trade in prices on phones have never been good.

I'm now at the habit that I keep my previous for a spare, and sell my spare each time. I hate having to put up with network provided devices.

This time round means selling my note 20 ultra and the fold 4 will become a backup. Doesn't feel such a waste of cash that way

I like the fact that samsung recycle the phone hence why I like the trading but to buy and more expensive phone and the trader off price is less than a single phone. There is no logic in that

I'm not sure what your angle is on this one. Trade in prices are based off the value of your device, not the one you are buying. Generally speaking, Samsung give you a pretty straight up, no frills, but low risk (at least in my experience) trade in price for your device against the one you're trying to purchase. What are you suggesting, that they delete any margins of profit and give you more value for your trade in than it would normally be worth?

The issue you have here is the high asking price for a fold device, that's entirely individual, but personally I would never buy one because of it. If you feel that is too high an asking price, then you have your own answer. Trade in values is not the issue here.

They give $1200 trade in in the US. Only because they're more worried about their competition with Apple. So apparently samsung doesn't care about returning costumers. You just get punished for good behavior basically.

Actually canceled my buy on a Samsung washer. After learning this,  I refuse to give them any more money
