Bluetooth Issues Since Last Update

Hi all,
I'm experiencing Bluetooth issues since the last monthly update. My JBL Go 3 no longer plays any audio (causes media playback to stutter on device), and my cheap X15 Open Ear Bone Conduction Headphones no longer work either (although no stuttering).

Both of these devices worked fine before the update.

My Sony WH-XB900Ns still work as normal.

Anyone else having issues?

Edit: just wanted to add that I've tried several reboots of the phone, deleted the Bluetooth connection data, soft and hard reset the JBL Go 3. Nothing has worked.

When the JBL Go 3 and the X15 headphones are connected the Bluetooth media controls on the devices still communicate with the phone, adjusting volume slider, play, pause, etc. But still no sound.

This issue only began after the last fold 4 monthly update.

Ok I found a fix but it's a bit of a pain in bum.

With Bluetooth headphones not connected and powered off, watch something through the phone with the device closed and watch for 30 seconds or so.... Then turn on Bluetooth headphones and connect to phone (still closed) let it play for 30 seconds or so again, then open the phone and it plays with big screen.

Defo still needs a fix I've read they are sending 5.1.1 out to devices in next few weeks so hopefully this fixes permanently!

Hey! Thanks for the reply. I should have mentioned that I did a little digging, and decided to look through the Developer Options menu to see if there were any Bluetooth debugging settings I could try.

It turns out that activating "Turn off A2DP hardware offload" solves the issue. It's not ideal tho, as this only works for Bluetooth speakers and headphones. Unfortunately, calls on my Samsung Watch 5 still won't work due to this bug...

Like you said, they'll have to sort this and hopefully one of the upcoming updates will do the trick.

Oh ok cool mine is a bit of a pain in ***** so I'll do that now 👍🏼 thanks for the update... Did better than me to find a resolution, mine was just messing with my phone and finding something worked but took ages to find out exactly 😂.

Thanks again roll on 5.1.1 and hope that someone from Samsung has noticed.

Hi SnowboardSteve. I've just updated to 5.1.1 on my Fold4. It's early days, but it looks like the Bluetooth bug has been fixed! No issues connecting to my speakers and headphones, and calls from my Watch 5 are working again!! Looks like they might have finally fixed the issue!

Sorry to hear you're having the same Bluetooth problems.

The latest updates have been a complete mess, and Samsung aren't acknowledging the issue.

Really hope they fix it soon!

Last update (yesterday) broke Bluetooth audio. It connects and volume buttons etc work but there is no actual sound. Have rebooted phone, reset BT connections etc. All was fine until this update.

Hi all, I just wanted to post an update. I was advised to send my phone in for a warranty repair. They replaced the main board (and practically every other part of the phone?). The Bluetooth is now fixed. I'm not sure if the software update caused a hardware issue, but the replacement running the same version of the OS has no issues. So, if you're facing this problem, I'd suggest you send your handset in for an inspection
