Wish samsung would focus more on camera hardware.

I am struggeling between giving Samsung a last chance with 25 ultra. Are samsung giving up on the camera battle? I been with samsung since note 8. But last year i tried iphone 15 pro max. Loved the cameras but could not love ios. When 24 ultra came out with the ai hype i believed i was going to get a better phone than the 15 max pro. But i did not like the camera overprossessing and selfies. Here apple is so much better when you can compare. I feel so underwhelmed this year and i really believed samsung was going to show everyone a much better upgrade. What are your thougts? Maybe i should start looking for an android phone with more simular camera to iphone. Because iphone camera with android system would be my dreamphone.

I agree it's all down to software and AI these days the Chinese manufacturers have integrated actual hardware with larger sensors etc into their phones, for now I'm sticking with the S23 Ultra but when I do eventually get a new phone I'll keep an open mind to what the competition offers

At the end its your money and your choice.

There is no one phone that will tick all your boxes.

At one point I was debating between Pixel and Samsung and then realised I could turn Samsung into a glorified Pixel.

I also buy my phones for Cameras and actually like the S24 series cameras for my style of photogrpahy.

I always say I will buy an iPhone one day to try but end up with Samsung 😂.

So I have an S25 Ultra in my hands right now and the cameras are a decent jump on the S24 Ultra especially for day time shots where the user simply clicks and shoots. Haven't had enough time to play with all the settings but feedback overall here at Unpacked is that they have improved noticeably.

I couldn't disagree with you more.
The AI working on the photos from what I've seen with the S25 i have been using, has been great.
Totally love the cameras and really looking forward to the S25 Ultra im getting
The Fold 6 that Samsung lent me for a few months had a great camera setup
Other features like best face for example are going to be really handy
I do also have an IPhone 16 Pro Max
My S24 Ultra and Z Fold 5 are my default phones to use.

But its all subjective and maybe being more of a photographer, I have a different look on it.

But the S25 series has a lot more work done on the cameras
Samsung definitely hasn't given up

Yea, the S25U cameras are good, especially with the AI companion. Software upgrades makes a massive difference to the picture quality, along with the Snapdragon elite and much faster clocking speeds.
