So, I have had an issue for a while now where all of my WhatsApp media (photos, videos etc.) doesn't show up when I connect my phone to my PC or my laptop. It only shows from around end of 2021 and before, but anything that was sent to me after that date doesn't show up in any of the folders on the phone's drive. The only thing that does show up past 2025 is the media I captured on the phone myself.
I first noticed this on my S21 when attempting to backup my gallery to my computer as I normally would, and I thought this wouldn't be an issue now that I got an S25 recently, but it's still the same issue I'm facing. I've attempted to look online and haven't really found any solutions to it, other than painstakingly having to upload my Gallery to Google Photos and downloading ones I don't already have backed up.
I do have a theory as to why I have this issue, but no evidence or clear solution for any of it though. I did get my S21 around the date that my Whatsapp media files show up on my PC/laptop, and I remember I used the Smart Switch for the first time to transfer from my S7 to the new S21. Then again, I used the app to transfer from my S21 to my new S25 this year. So, that's the only thing I can think of since the issue started from that first time, but I haven't found anything else to help me with this so I thought I should write it up and see if anyone might be able to help me.

Hello, thank you for the message. Yeah it shows up on my phone but not on the PC/laptop when I connect my phone. I think that makes sense, I just thought to see if anyone might have had the same issue but I guess it would be good to look into Whatsapp support still. I'll try that out and if anything changes I'll let you know, but thank you for the information.
