Vodafone 4G calling & Volte...Avoid

Just to make people aware. I have seen alot of posts online where people are having problems with 4G calling/Volte on vodafoe. Truth is you cannot use them if you bought your phone from elsewhere. Only if you bought your phone from vodafone will it work.

They will make you reset your phone, force software updates and tear your hair out and waste your time but the 4g calling & volte is only enabled for phones bought direct from vodafone. Avoid if you use internet while on a call and bought your phone from elsewhere. Too many posts online with this problem. Avoid if you have a phone bought from elsewhere

I would submit this as a review of Vodafone. Maybe send them an email and get a correspondence on this matter.

As far as i remember that has always been the case with Vodafone in that if the phone wasn't purchased directly from them so they have the Vodafone csc etc on them then it can be the case that some features won't possibly work.

I noticed that when on call my Internet doesn't work giffgaff ,I have WiFi calling is off and don't use volte calls is off too , I always lose 5g for some reason

I got mine from Vodafone and still have issues using Internet or any apps during calls .
I've got a second sim in from Spusu (EE) but it still have issues

According to a Vodaphone tech via chat it's Samsung phones aren't compatible with Vodafone if you believe that ?

I had no issues until July update 2023 when my fold 4 wouldn't allow Internet or data use during calls , thought it would be cured getting a phone from Vodafone but still hit and miss if it works 😡

Correct if I am getting confused, are you saying you cant use 4G/VOLTE on Vodafone if you didn't get phone from them?

Because I have been on Vodafone for over 30 years, I haven't bought a phone from them in 10 years and never had issues with 4G or 5G now with WiFi calling

I use a Vodafone SIM as a work/backup SIM and haven't had any issues with VoLTE or WiFi Calling not working
