How dissapointing to discover AFTER purchasing my S25 Ultra flagship device, that the S Pen is no longer a Bluetooth supported device, it's now a fairly useless piece of plastic for drawing and note taking, according to support. Why would you take a step backwards? Simple!! To make me buy either a ring or a watch. To clarify my issue, I used the Pen to take remote photos. A brilliant feature and a major buying point for me. This is the "Flagship" model and it's been removed. Talk about dumb decisions - WOW!!!

Hello 👋 @andy1red

Welcome to the Samsung Community Forum.

I appreciate your viewpoint on the removal of Bluetooth features within the sPen for the Samsung Galaxy s²⁵ Ultra.

This has been discussed extensively on the forum.

Samsung removed the feature as it was being used by a small amount of owners.

I personally didn't use that feature but I do respect that others did.

A person can still take a photo by using the settings in the camera app which allows a person to say ' capture '

Launch Camera App > Tap on the Cog >Shooting Methods >  Voice Commands.

If workarounds like this are not what you want then look at any relevant cooling off period to return the phone.

And send feedback via your Samsung Members App.

If i can be of any further help please don't hesitate to ask  😎

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.

Hi and welcome! In addition to other capture modes you can also purchase fairly inexpensive bluetooth devices that work as a camera remote shutter. I got one of these from Amazon and it works really well

Did you not read up about it purchasing your new device, it was well documented about it before it went on sale.

There are alternatives to using Bluetooth SPen.....

Voice Commands
Gestures

Not many used SPen sadly hence why it was removed.

Hi @andy1red

I understand your disappointment. One gets very familiar with a functionality and replacing it can be tricky.

There are alternative solutions. It requires an extra device but it can work.

Amazon has several inexpensive Bluetooth remote controls for the camera app on the phone. Some of them with dedicated buttons for IOS and Android, 4-15 pounds. They even have some flexible phone tripods which include a remote control 20-30 pounds.

Let's hope that it might be reintroduced on the S26 Series.

I understand that some folk are disappointed , this was extensively discussed though and would think there are more important factors in deciding whether or not to purchase an S25 ultra. As mentioned there are workarounds ,personally I do not think there is a great chance of a Bluetooth functionality on the S Pen returning. Customer feedback though can sometimes make a difference.

I do not work for Samsung or make Samsung Products but provide independent advice and valuable contributions.

Like many other people i would expect this feature to remain on the flagship device,  not be dropped like a hot brick, like other people,  it was one of the main reasons for getting the ultra in the first place,  i don't want to have to cart another thing around with me just to operate the camera, I will just stick with my s22 unless it becomes part of the s26, or i will just go buy a second hand  s24 ultra instead,  who wants a half mast flagship device?
