Upcoming Galaxy Edge... thoughts?

OK, so I've got mixed thoughts on this one... On one hand I'm routing for Samsung to stay highly innovative and stay ahead of the smartphone curve... At the same time, I'm not sure who this upcoming slim device is targeted for, especially so close after the S25U release (which I'm absolutely loving!).

That rules me out as I'm not in the market for a new device. 

Also curious to hear Members views here as I appreciate some would even be waiting for the Fold devices later this autumn.

I don't like slim phones as they just remove features from them. Why would you need a slim phone?

My guess is it would be an S25 slim model as @Gabri722 said. Maybe slightly better features. I think it won't be too much different to the S25 other than it being a slim model.

My own humble opinion.

At the cost of the s25 edge being close to the ultras series, i do not really see this as being a particularly popular model. Specs have been reduced, and I think it is purely to the people that believe " thin is better ". I think also to compete with the apple iphone air to be released soon.

Personally, I don't have a problem with the thickness of today's phones anyway... and a thin phone versus an ultra phone... and for me the ultra wins hands down.

Most people will likely place this within a protective case anyway... kind of pointless to have an super thin phone and then sandwich it with a thicker rubber.

I am more interested myself in the fold 7 😍. Just my personal thoughts.

I don't see the need for another smartphone which to me is just a sub class of the S25ultra (like having a FE model) which I already have so aren't going to waste any more money.

Me too. As the Fold 6 is very fine and pocket friendly, I think Fold 7 will be very interesting 😎

Whether I look to get one im not sure.
But with the Corning Glass Ceramic 2
It's probably going to be very robust.

Yeah. I think the Fold series makes more sense as an alternative to the Ultra series.

Sounds like Samsung will be testing the market. Time will tell whether this move will reap rewards.

As a Samsung fan I'll be keen to find out more but will not be placing an order.

I'm firmly in the Ultra camp and have been for years. I don't think the slim device will change my mind.

But, never say never....
