Stuck "Refining Picture" S25 Ultra

Hi all, 

I took a few pictures yesterday using the portrait mode and they don't appear to be accessible, it's been "refining picture" for over 15 hours now.. 

Is this a known issue? Until complete I'm unable to edit or share the images (unless I screenshot them in the gallery). 

Edit- a reboot seems to have fixed it, but that's a little inconvenient if it's going to do this repeatedly...

Could be just a glitch
I know photo refining is not as quick now. Probably partly to do with AI. But I think the longest was just somethung like under a minute
But I've not had that issue

Yeah I suspect possibly so, can't imagine 15 hours with 0 progress is actually doing anything 😂

Hi @Davidwheaty 

An alternative to rebooting the phone might be "force stop" the app, clear cache and start the app again.

Settings -> Apps -> Camera -> Force stop (button on bottom corner)

Settings -> Apps -> Camera -> Storage -> Clear cache (button on bottom corner)

Then

Open the camera app as usual.

 

Like @Glenntech mentioned, most likely a glitch or bug that will be sorted with future firmware updates.

A valid proposal, however at processing point is it the camera app or the gallery app that's responsible?

Yeah I suspect it's either a glitch or a bug but I've not seen any examples posted with similar time frames so just wanted to alert members/Samsung to a possible bug.

If it happens again I'll try the above and report back 👌

Your picture says camera, but the procedure applies to any app. You could also do it to the Gallery App.

You might also like to report it in the members app. It is more likely that the information will reach the right people.

I'm having the exact same issue , it's a pain as I get sent products to picture and have to send it back to the company in a certain time frame,  this is a recurring issue now and I'm left not meeting deadlines as they aren't processed in time, if I force stop like mentioned below will my images still be safe? I have some more pictures that need to be in and edited by Wednesday and the processing cog is just going and nothing is happening,  abit gutted really as I purchased this phone specifically for the camera 🙈

I found a reboot worked to finish the editing, inconvenient but a good work around for now till they release a fix. It's not actually happened to me again since this post.
