Secure Folder issue after update (Galaxy S25 Ultra)

Hello,

Since the latest update on my Galaxy S25 Ultra (Europe), the apps I installed inside Secure Folder (Chrome, Firefox, Samsung Internet) can no longer access the photos and videos that are inside Secure Folder.

When I try to add or upload a file from these apps, they only show my personal storage (outside Secure Folder), even though my media is clearly visible in Secure Folder Gallery and Secure Folder My Files. Before the update, everything worked normally.

---

My question:

Has anyone else experienced the same issue since the update?

Is this a known One UI / Secure Folder bug, and is there any fix or workaround to make apps inside Secure Folder access Secure Folder files again like before?

Thanks for your help

Same issue here. Using Chrome in Secure Folder, trying to upload a document, was given the option to select document from either Secure Folder or Personal, chose Secure Folder and it was blank, but is able to show documents from Personal. How is this possible, yet Circle To Search on Secure Folder is disabled?

Can confirm, same issue.

Other apps seem ok, but browser apps can't see files from secure folder.

For example, when  trying to upload a file, they will show a "Select an action" panel proposing either Personal or Secure Folder as tabs, with "pictures and videos" icon.

  1. it shoudn't offer that possibility to select and access Personal contents. It's supposed to isolated and access only Secure content, that's the main concept. So right now, not secure at all...
  2. Why "Photos and Videos" ? I want "My Files", not necessarily only pictures and vids.
  3. Choosing Secure folder will open Recents content, empty.
BUT opening the left panel and choosing "Downloads" for example, will display NON secure content.
Looks like a critical issue there.
  4. No way to find secure files from there. The only files that will show are from Personal (non secure) space

Until this is fixed, no one should seriously use browsers in secure mode.

This reddit thread seems to point that the culprit is the DocumentsUI app.
Restoring a previous version seems to work.
But i don't want to install an apk from an unknow source, especially for secure matters.
