clearing system cache by connecting to a computer via USB cable

After that update today, I tried clearing the system cache by connecting my phone to my desktop.  I know the routine - phone off, connect to computer, Volume up and side key depressed until Galaxy appears, then release both.

This time I was greeted by an entirely different screen.  

Has anything changed?

I've just done this, cleared the cache partion using the usual procedure, it worked and looked the same as always.

If you push vol up and down together, even by accident (maybe you have a case on?) it will bring up a different screen.

I believe my screen had a greenish tint to it and many of the characters were Korean.

Fortunately, there were instructions in English to cancel the screen by depressing volume down and the side button for seven seconds. 

I'll have to use my wife's phone to take a screenshot.  I'll assume someone else will have the same experience as I.

You entered the download mode.

Try removing case and make sure you are holding volume up and power buttons properly as accidentally pressing volume down will bring you to download mode (like in the picture attached)
