Samsung Dex Awareness... did you know about this powerful feature?

I have used Samsung Dex for a number of years... just occasionally... but when I am without a PC and want a more desktop experience.

This is an 'awareness' post for those newer users and people that are unsure of the power of the Dex desktop and PC like experience. 

You can use Dex by selecting the Dex mode, and wireless connecting to a smart TV.. or alternative on an office desk then a simple USB-C hub with HDMI and USB peripherals can give you a more office like use. 

This is something that is under rated and that only Samsung provide with their smartphones. For more info then see this official Samsung link

I do use this feature quite a bit when doing photo and video editing.
Use to have the original DEX station, now I just use a USB C hub with HDMI out, ethernet & USB etc.
Really handy feature

Can you power the phone through it?

With most of them YES. They have pass through charging.

I have the actual Dex dock.

You can however get a more generic dock... from amazon or likewise.
