Hi all. I just received my new S25 ultra few days ago, the phone looks great but my main worries is about battery . I set it to charge till 85% , today when I took it from charge from 85 % goes to 77% within 1hour ish without using almost at all, only chat little bith through whatsapp. So far I think a full charge battery from 85% it runs about 20 hours for me.
My question is how long takes a full charge for you using normal day? Is there any other settings tricks? Or the phone is faulty, but on settings on battery health's shows 100%. Or my expectation regarding battery was too high.
Many thanks for answers.

Hi @dany1219 and warm welcome 👋

Your phones battery going through "learning cycle" it takes roughly about 2 weeks for battery to adjust on your usage i wouldn't worry too much.

You can set screen resolution to FHD+, turn on power saving mode, turn on dark mode, turn off location and turn on when needed, but your battery is in learning cycle which takes some time.

When you have a new device @dany1219, your battery continually learns your behaviours and optimizes itself based on your most recent app usage. This optimization can take up to two weeks to take effect. From your data, I can say with some certainty that your battery is fine and just figuring your usage out. For me personally, I like to really test my device for the first two weeks. I shoot a lot of video, and edit it, as well as letting it gently coast through social media and watch some YouTube etc. Only at the end of your second week will you be able to see what your typical battery life is. Hope you are enjoying your 25U as much as I am enjoying mine. 👍

If that is what you want to do, then go for it @dany1219. I have always powered all my devices to 100% personally, and none have had any long term battery issues. I also never let my devices fall below 15% charge, and I think this is MUCH more important in terms of long term battery health.

Yes, it is a good practice to maximize your battery's lifespan in long run. I turn off mine and when it's fully charged I just unplug my phone.

If you plan on keeping the phone for many years, as I am (at least 7 years) the best practice for the battery health is to set up for maximum and the max charge to 85 or 90 percent. And not let the battery fall under 20 percent.

Otherwise standard is a fine option.

Daily Driver > Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra 1TB ~ Titanium Black.
Prior > Samsung Galaxy S7 edge 32GB ~ Black Onyx.

Not a problem at all, you will definitely see improvements over next week or so.
