Why has the s25 ultra shipped with an October 2024 Google play security level and a December security patch?

Probably the latest when the phone was manufactured.

Official release is 7th February so I expect to see a day 1 patch come out over the next week or so

Thanks, I got a preorder and am loving it , but heard on grapevine that there's a 24Gb update coming so maybe that will be official launch day

This is not official, just rumours i suggest hold on till it's official or we get some word officially from Samsung.

I'm glad there's a thread about this as I was gonna do one.
Just realised the same, December security patch, I mean could've given us January at least. Today is official launch so hopefully we get one today 😂

Come on Samsung, I don't necessarily want a maj poo r update but to still be stuck on December security and October play store is unforgivable as you've now had almost a month...
