I only get notifications when I unlock my phone. Some apps will come through on the home screen like Google messages, and my blank doorbell, and Snapchat. But twitter, my sports apps, only get notifications once phone is unlocked. This is a huge headache. Plz help

Hello 👋 @Lritz and Welcome to the Samsung Community Forum.
Try a forced reboot by holding down the volume down key and power button simultaneously for more than 7 seconds to restart it. When your phone resets, you will feel it vibrate.

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.
I'm here to help. " This is the way. "

Here are the things to check before you test:
1. Check the Adaptive Battery
Go to Settings > Battery > Usage Limit - Make sure it's turned off
2. Allow background activity
Go to Settings > Apps > Whatsapp > Tap battery and make sure Allow background activity
3. Check notification setting from Whatsapp. And then also put everything priority on each category.
4. Make sure Do Not Disturb is off.
Settings > Sounds and Vibration > DND
5. If all else fails, then Reset App Permission
Settings > Apps > Click the three dot icon on the top right > select Reset App permission. Once done, restart the phone to take effect.
6. If no.5 is done , If reset app permission is done, check the permission is allowed. Also, make sure that Manage App if Unused is off.
Now it works.
