anyone else get this even after restarting phone and resetting camera on s25 ultra? Samsung tech not helpful.

Yep! Finished setting mine up and went to go check out the camera and I got the exact same notification. I called Samsung and they had me factory wipe the phone and start from new. That didn't fix it. I called the store and they wanted me to do a warranty claim. I told them to f#ck off and order me a new one. I'm not doing a warranty claim for a phone that was 2 hours old. So here I wait... Everything else works (including the front camera). Frustrating to say the least. There is no fix for this. I'm sorry this happened to you but I'm glad I'm not the only one. Never had an issue with any of my Samsung phones before...

So is it even worth getting a replacement?

Followed your advice and did an exchange, which itself is annoying and not made easier by Samsung.

Same problem with whatsapp, some times the camera don't run correctly, waiting for software update
Looks like a bug maybe

Of course today, day before I'm receiving the replacement, it started working again. No software update as far as I know. With AI capture I was able to isolate the issue to one camera in the back, but today it is working. Is it still a hardware problem you think? Would rather keep the phone because it is such a pain to set up but don't want to risk having a defective one.

I had the same problem. I went to use the camera on WhatsApp, and only the front camera worked, when I switched to the rear camera the application crashed and closed, I went to the cell phone's camera application And I had the same problem, I didn't change the camera and when I did it gave an error, I restarted and it stayed like that, the ultra-wide didn't work and it crashed, and several times the screen went black with a camera icon
