Just thought I'd share this as I'm waiting for my S25+ to be delivered on the 22nd but now not sure whether to cancel or not. I've read quite a few issues people are having. I've never seen the 8 elite chipsets with any issues on other phones. I know some will be saying to wait for an update but surely you shouldn't have to struggle with something brand new until an update arrives. I've not seen other phones with this chipset where customers are commenting on waiting for updates to fix certain issues. What you guys reckon?

Mate, I enjoyed the first part of your comment. The second part seemed like a dig. Read it again. You're saying I'm making claims? Seriously? I've only just stumbled upon that video and thought of this forum as the best place to get others' opinions. There is nothing wrong with that is there. You clearly have a problem with me posting this video for some reason. You say that you "personally don't need opinions from ordinary Joe's to tell you if a product is good or bad"! Good for you. Sounds like whoever has a genuine question, must approach with caution on this forum because it may annoy you. Why would you be on this forum if many people ask questions that don't suit your way of looking at things? It's a brand new phone with a brand new chipset. Questions will be asked for one reason or another. Questions should be asked without having to have to go through this type of ordeal. Come on..

Hey, I have no problem with you asking questions, but read your thread title, does that actually come across as a question to you?

You've post this video and labelled it with your doubts and fears. Not exactly a question, more condemnation without actual usage. The question really is, are you regretting your purchase or genuinely feel fearful it will overheat?

Honestly as a fairly heavy user of Samsung Ultra phones, I've yet to face one where heating issues were ever an actual "issue". I do play heavy duty games from time to time, and none have overheated, not once. This is from any generation of Ultra, S20/21/22/23/24 and now the S25. If you want genuine advice or user feedback, ask honestly, not "S25 overheating?!?" followed up by a video from a rando with one phone out of 3 overheating.

No worries. What you're saying is I shouldn't have used the exclamation mark when asking the question? I get that if that's what you meant. I'm really looking forward to my S25+ 512g in navy with free buds3 for only £387 thanks 😊 I'm in no way condemning it. If I were regretting my purchase, I strongly believe I would've cancelled the order by now, which is still possible if I wanted to. I've only ever owned sammy phones since day dot, so as much as I'd like to think, I'm very much knowledgeable in everything about how new releases pan out, watching this video has made me slightly cautious and thought let me see if others may have had similar issues. It's nice to see it at 0, which gives me that confidence back. Anyways, I'd prefer both the ultra and plus models with more width. I don't game. Only music, watching content, and taking pictures and selfies with my son. It's the plus that's a clear winner for me. Peace out ✌🏻

No worries, just rely on your past experiences as a litmus, try not to allow outside sources, at least without verification, to rattle your confidence in your purchases. I'm not saying disbelieve everything, but at least try for yourself before jumping to any conclusions.

My Ultra has zero overheating issues, I know it has a 40% larger vapour chamber than the s24 ultra. It might be an app causing the heating issue?

My S25 overheated in standby for the first time to day. Battery went from 40% to 8% in 50 minutes in standby with no AOD. Any suggestion? Should I return it or ask for a replacement?

Every time I watch YouTube on the s25 Ultra the whole phone gets very hot. It's uncomfortable to hold.

That's not good. Speak to sammy and maybe get a replacement if you really like the phone. Others may say the battery will take a couple of weeks to get used to the way you use the phone. But that decrease seems excessive.
