S25+ is unable to connect to my wireless network

I received my S25+ yesterday and overall, I'm very pleased with it other than the fact that for some reason it just won't connect to my WiFi.

The phone finds the network but as soon as it tries to connected it just literally says connection failed.

I've checked my wireless network and can find no issues. I also have a s24fe and that can connect to the network with no issues.

Does anyone have any suggestions how to
 solve this

Thanks in advance

Hi,
If your Samsung S25+ isn't connecting to a network, the first steps are to check your network signal strength, restart your phone, and verify your network settings; if that doesn't work, you can try resetting your network settings or contacting your carrier to check for potential service issues in your area.

Here are a few things to check and try:

Basic checks:

Signal strength: Ensure you have a strong signal on your mobile network.

Airplane mode: Double-check that airplane mode is not turned on.

Restart your phone: Sometimes a simple restart can resolve connectivity issues.

Check your network settings: Go to Settings > Connections (or Network & internet) and verify your network is selected and settings are correct.

Network troubleshooting:

Switch between networks: Try switching between mobile data and Wi-Fi to see if the issue is network-specific.

Check for updates: Ensure your phone's software is up-to-date.

Reset network settings: Go to Settings > General management > Reset > Reset network settings.

SIM card issues:

Check SIM card: Verify your SIM card is inserted properly and is active.

Try a different SIM: If possible, try using a different SIM card to see if the issue lies with the SIM itself.

Contact your carrier:

Check for outages: Contact your mobile provider to see if there are any service outages in your area.

Account status: Verify your account is active and there are no usage limits.

As the above, but also check on your Internet router does it support both 2.4ghz and 5ghz? Is the SSID a different name for each ? (Try connecting to one or the other) and if you do have any anti virus/firewall software on the phone try uninstalling and rebooting

Of course double check you're inputting your password correctly

Tried all the suggestions listed - it now shows a message of incorrect password. I have checked, double checked and triple checked - the password is correct

Try 1234
As a password if your phone starts OK change the password to something you know and won't forget 😉

I have an S25 Ultra and my problem is that I've been unable to connect to the two public wifi networks I've tried.  In both cases there is a "splash" page that asks you to accept the company's terms and conditions.

I can connect to networks/SSIDs that require passwords just fine

Both me and my wife have a handset in the S25 family, and only since upgrading both of us can only connect to our house wi-fi intermittently. Much of the time connections fail with a 'Connection Failed' error on the Wi-Fi page. Repeatedly reconnecting and/or dis/re-enabling Wi-Fi eventually reconnected with no other interventions, so we know the password & settings etc are fine.

Tried a lot of things on the wi-fi access points and phone, but nothing worked UNTIL I changed 'WPA2/WPA3' security to only be WPA2 Only on my Wi-Fi system - now its back to rock solid like it was with our previous phones (S24 in my case, S22 in my wifes).

To me this really seems that Samsung have an issue with the S25 family negotiating which Wi-Fi security standard they are going to adhere to with the Wi-Fi AP as it's only become an issue with the S25 phones.

So, if you're having trouble connecting to Wi-Fi from an S25 series handset, try setting your Wi-Fi (router/mesh/access point) to only require WPA2 instead of both WPA3/WPA2
