Ever since my S25 arrived I have nothing but issues with the 2nd SIM. I have 1 X physical as main Sim and 1 X secondary Sim as eSIM.
I already know about the issue where SIM 1 and SIM 2 are displayed in reverse order in the messages app. That still is not fixed with latest firmware Feb 8 2025 is pathetic.
The major is that SIM 2 is always showing Emergency calls only. Occasionally it will obtain coverage, then it will loose connection and then go back to emergency calls only. It is a USA eSIM from Ultra mobile and had 0 issues with my S21 or my Motorola Neo 50 with this eSIM.
My is having same issue with her S25. She upgrade from S24 which had no issues with eSIM but major issues with S25.
While roaming in Japan last week, I could not even enable this eSIM. I purchased a local Ubigi eSIM and it worked fine.
I have seen a number of other users with 2nd SIM issues but no response from Samsung addressing even the most basic issue with the SIMs being reversed in the messages app.

Hello 👋 @Phez
Welcome to the Samsung Community Forum Section for UK and Ireland Users.
It might be beneficial to ask the same question in your own section of the Community Forum for a more detailed appropriate answer.
I'm thinking if the alternative Local Network eSim worked OK in Japan, then the option / function appears to be OK in the phone , so the issue might be with the eSim protocols of your own eSim ,and may need the support of your Customer Services from your Network.
Possibly have the eSim refreshed or a new one sent 🤔
May I suggest to perform a forum search as you may find already existing threads with help and advice within.
i.e https://eu.community.samsung.com/t5/galaxy-s23-series/esim-issue. Is from this forum.
If i can be of any further help please don't hesitate to ask 😎

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.
I'm here to help. " This is the way. "

I'm having the same problem, I'm from Spain and I have two eSIMs on my Samsung S25 Ultra, the first one goes perfect, but the second one whenever the screen goes off, disconnects from the network and "Emergency calls only" appears. Sometimes with the screen on, it also happens, I have the data roaming on, in my case the company is Pepephone and with my previous Xiaomi it worked perfectly. Something I've noticed is that it only connects when "finding automatic network" is activated, if I turn it off and manually connect to the Pepephone network always fails. Also, when the phone restarts, the first one connects so quickly, but the second one takes about 5 minutes to get network, I'm starting thinking it must be a Samsung software problem in this new model.

I'm experiencing the same issue. I'm based in the UAE and using two SIM cards on my Samsung S25 Ultra. The first SIM works perfectly, but the second one shows network coverage yet doesn't function properly. If I don't check it frequently, important SMS messages sometimes arrive a day late. To receive SMS or OTPs, I have to switch to airplane mode and back, which is really frustrating.
I previously used the S21 and never had this problem. Now I'm wondering why I upgraded to the S25—it feels like a waste. Is there any known solution to fix this issue?

Did you ever get this resolved? I am having the exact same issue and had no problem on S22.
