Hi! So, I'm unsure what you mean by doing actual "research"? I stated as a fact that the whole point of the beta program is for testing to be done—so many issues were fixed during it. Some appear to have remained; I've experienced none. Samsung have hundreds of millions of phones sold- and the forums have a few posts daily with a few issues and most are from people who simply hate change and dont like to learn to adapt to it- so these are not universal UI issues.

The beta clearly states to expect issues, so it's way too early to judge the UI 8 "update".

You do realize that Stars aren't employed by Samsung nor have any relationship beyond being active in the forums? They don't get paid, so I never understand the assumption there's bias. They are customers and thats it- and if you look- they do have complaints themselves on multiple occasions towards samsung

Beta releases are full of bugs and issues by design, that is their reason to exist.

Hopefully most of them will get sorted on the Stable released.

To the first point. You missed the point that I was getting at.

In short: in comparison to the importance of the missing features, the improved security isn't enough for me to update.

To the second point. You didn't miss my point, you just changed my words. I don't mind "features being removed", what matters are "important gestures bring removed".

The other things you said, I'm just going to ignore. Mostly because it was minor, and we both want to end the conversation. But, I'll quickly give you one example which should help: Removing pop up window transparency (specifically on DeX), I did research - it's not moved, it's just gone. But, considering the major DeX changes, it's not unlikely for it to come back. And it's one feature many people want back - specifically those using XR Glasses.

Please read back and again do research on how beta actually works... and how previous software updates before hand are implemented in the base betas. As stated no improvements what so ever. Be great for you to provide evidence of these "multiple complaints" from these so called "none bias" star members. Have a lovely day John. X

Unfortunately this didnt happen with the one ui 7 release as many customers complained of poor software optimisation and battery if you do the research. Not to mention the poor rollout. Therefore samsung have not learnt from the pervious one ui 7 beta and then public beta and seem the same case one ui 8 beta.

So what do you think the beta is? It appears it's not me who needs to do research. The beta is, in fact, a state of an unfinished product, and there's an entire section of the forums for reporting such issues—and then hopefully they're sorted. The beta is used for that purpose; if you don't want to go through these, don't use the beta. For example, on UI 7 beta, the Now bar would freeze the media player even if, in my experience, Spotify was closed. I reported it, and it was fixed before release. But Im not saying ALL issues will be sorted- as every update known to man- at least someone will experience some issue.

I can't do that—I'm not searching through posts/comments to find a negative; that would take some time. But, if you remain active, you'd probably see so. The biggest example is the dislike towards the battery icon. Again, they're not employed nor paid; the only difference is that they're active and provide solutions, so arguably their input is of more value to some degree.

Hopefully this doesnt come off as a judgment/ argument towards yourself, but a discussion of viewpoints 😊 have a blessed day yourself

Once again. Please do some research John. Unfortunately a "superstar" member clearly bias as proves my points. Please refer to my comments and do some investigating and research to betas work and also if you just look a little bit more carefully I also mentioned also in one ui 7 & one ui 8 beta. Have a great day and thanks for the the negative comments you have provided as a "superstar". Take care sweetie x

Superstar isn't a member star; it's a rank in the forums, which I got for having enough input in the forum. You are a "pathfinder" as you comment youll rank up- superstar being on said ranking. Samsung member stars are selected by samsung for being helpful- my rank isnt one of them

I'm curious, what are the problems you're referring to?  Your initial question doesn't give much information.
